Remember These
Things
|
|
As we always preach, here are the things you should be
doing to make your website work for you.
- SEO
- Make sure your website is optimized properly for your market.
Ask us to review your site.
- Reciprocal
Links - Don't forget to keep fishing for these.
- An
Online marketing Campaign - Be aggressive, you will get more
exposure and this will help organically also. Ask us about what
would be right for you.
- Specials
and upcoming events - Think about what is coming 3 months in
advance, if possible more. Your specials page will be the second
most viewed page on your website next to the homepage.
- Create
more content - the best performing sites are still the ones with
the most content. Create current content. We will be glad to
help with this in either adding pages or setting up a blog for
your site.
- Email
Marketing - Just like this email. Keeps your loyal customers in
touch. Let us set up email marketing for you.
- Social
Networking - Discussed here!
- Check
your stats - learn who is coming to your site and why. We would
be glad to review this information with you.
- And
... keep your website appealing. See what your competitors are
doing, you may need a redesign.
Remember: Check your Junk Email Daily. And empty your junk email and
deleted items. Backup important documents!!!!!

Hello from Brett.
This past summer has seen a big change for us here starting at the
top. We have changed from an LLP to a sole proprietorship. All
employees are now private contractors. We have assumed this new
business model in order to move forward, be proactive on the changes
we need to implement. This creates happier workers in our line of
work. What you can expect is the same great service from happier
souls.

Social Networking
It's all good!
We have been getting a lot of inquiries lately from
our customers about social networking, Twitter, Facebook etc. As far
as promoting your business and website, I say do it. This even seems
to be creating a new industry of people who will manage your social
accounts. I listen to sports radio every morning and all of ESPN
announcers rave about Twitter but I really find it hard to believe
Mark Schlereths doing his own tweeting. You may be approached by a
company doing this but only you can decide for yourself how much this
service may mean to you, and what risk you are willing to take that
info may be inaccurate. While I am not a big fan of Twitter I do like
to use Facebook, I think it is a different demographic of people
using it. And... You Tube videos embedded in to your site is a
great way to get traffic. Remember to avoid being too personal on any
account that is for business. If you can find it, there is an amusing
article about networking etiquette in last month's Wired magazine.

Upcoming Work
We have
noticed that one of our servers is showing an increase in downtime.
As hosting renewals come due we will be using this time to move your
site to a new server. This should be a seamless transition for you
except we may need to create a new email password for each account.
Changing passwords is something that should be done regularly anyhow.
While your email is not as important as other accounts this will be a
good time for us to change it.
We will be taking the time to claim local business listings for site
when we do this. This will help increase your traffic and assure your
position on the local search maps. After this is done be sure to
follow the link off the map on your business and go in and read your
reviews.
